The florist said he always looked forward to Valentine’s Day when my husband would send me a huge bouquet of red roses. He’s definitely an old romantic (LOL - after over 20 years of marriage!) - and I never can tell when he’s going to bring home a lovely bouquet of flowers. My memories of receiving a delivery of roses - at the office, at home, when visiting friends, are special, because he was away at sea more often than not, and the flowers always let me know that I was never far from his thoughts.

It was an even more romantic moment when he bought me an engagement ring - he was so overcome by emotion, that I thought he was going to faint.
